With that out of the way, let’s get into the Biased Scrubby pattern!

Biased Scrubby: A Free Scrubby Yarn Knit Pattern Introduction
With all the different scrubby yarns, there are not a bunch of 100% cotton scrubby yarns. Which is disappointing. But, thankfully we have Yarn Bee Scrub-ology Cotton! This 100% cotton scrubby yarn comes in a variety of colors and is available at Hobby Lobby.
I loved to use this yarn for the Biased Scrubby! A dependable scrubby yarn meets a favored knitting style = scrubby perfection!

Skills
This project is suited for knitters who are comfortable with or who are open to learning the following skills and techniques:
Bind-off, cast-on, knit, knit front and back, and knit 2 together.
Materials
Yarn recommendations
Yarn Bee, Scrub-ology Cotton, fiber content: Cotton 100%; 125 yards/114 meters; 3 oz/85 g or any similar yarn that knits to gauge.
Sample used: 6 (11, 16, 17) yards/6 (11, 15, 16) meters; 0.125 (0.25, 0.375, 0.4) oz/4 (8, 11, 12) g; 1 ball in Front Porch colorway.
Knitting needles
- US size 8/5 mm, or size used to match gauge – straight or circular, as you prefer.
Notions
Locking stitch markers (to mark RS of fabric), scissors, tapestry needle.
Gauge
16 sts x 32 rows over 4″/10 cm in garter stitch worked flat.
It is not necessary to match gauge for this pattern. If you knit with a gauge different from that in the pattern, your Biased Scrubby will end up a different finished width, and this will affect the amount of yarn needed.

Biased Scrubby: A Free Scrubby Yarn Knit Pattern Instructions

Pattern Notes
- All inc and dec rows will be worked on the RS of the fabric.
Techniques Used
Knit front and back (kfb)
- Insert your RH needle into the st on your LH needle as if to knit.
- Pull the yarn through the st, but do not drop the st from the LH needle.
- Insert your RH needle into the same st on your LH needle from right to left along the back leg of the st on the LH needle.
- Pull the yarn through the st and drop the st from the LH needle.

Knit 2 together (k2tog)
- Insert your RH needle into two sts on the LH needle knitwise at the same time.
- Wrap your working yarn around the RH needle as if to knit.
- Pull the working yarn through both sts as if to knit.
- Drop both sts from the LH needle.

Using your favorite cast-on method, CO 2 sts.
Inc Set-up Rows
Row A (WS): K2
Row B (RS): Kfb, kfb (inc 2 sts, total 4 sts) Place a st marker on the RS of the fabric.
Row C (WS): K4
Row D (RS): Kfb, k2, kfb, (inc 2 sts, total 6 sts)
Row E (WS): K6
Garter St Inc Rows
Row 1 (RS): Kfb, *k* until 1 st rem, kfb (inc 2 sts. See table for st counts.)
Row 2 (WS): *K*
Work Rows 1 and 2 a total of 5 (7, 9, 11) times. From cast-on edge, you will work a total of 15 (19, 23, 27) rows, ending on a Row 2. You are finished working Garter St Inc Rows when you have a total of 16 (20, 24, 28) sts on your needle. Proceed to Garter St Dec Rows.

Total Garter Stitch Decrease Rows worked is 14 (18, 22, 26) times. Total rows worked from CO edge is 29 (37, 45, 53) rows.
Bind-off & Finishing
Using your preferred method, BO 2 sts. Cut a 5-8 inch (13-20 cm) tail and pull through final st.
Weave in ends. Block as desired.
