2-color knit stitch pattern: Tag-a-Long?

Tag-a-long stitch pattern swatch 2-color knit stitch pattern

Creativity strikes and sometimes it just keeps striking! Last week, I developed the “Fingerless Gloves Knit MY Way” google sheet and tutorial. (Click here for that blog post). Then this week, I created a new Tag-a-Long knit stitch pattern.

So this is a little mean, and a LOT ironic. See, I created this stitch while knitting some #fingerlessglovesknitmyway for my baby sister. That’s why the stitch pattern name is a little mean. But it’s not really mean, because the truth is my sister is NOT a tag-a-long.

I just started calling it “Baby Sister” then added “Tag-a-long” and laughed to myself because that is just not a thing my baby sister has ever done to me. It’s a cliche baby sister move. And honestly, she’s too cool for that. But “Tag-a-long” stuck with me and so there it is.

This is similar to a mosaic type stitch pattern. So, if you’ve knit mosaic you will see the similarities and differences. Learning to knit with two colors in this way is perfect! Because, you just knit with one color at a time.

Pretty right? I like it! So, if you use it and post on IG, tag me @ozzylosiknits #tag-a-long-stitch.

You can use it for the Fingerless Gloves Knit My Way if you like! Click here to go to that tutorial! Or you can use it to make a lovely dishcloth, it would work well because the fabric is very thick.

Hugs & Happy Knitting!
