Yarn Bee Scrub-ology Scrub It! Full Review
Yarn Bee Scrub-ology Scrub It! Yarn is available in 12 solid colorways. The feel of this yarn is very similar to Herrschner’s Suds & Scrub Yarn but much softer. The feel of this yarn is a very very soft sponge. The scrubby part is made up of the mesh fabric around the foam core. Because the mesh fabric tube is larger than the foam core, it creates a much softer feel of the yarn.
A major issue with this yarn is that because the mesh fabric surrounding the foam core is too big it creates a lot of opportunities to knit into the mesh tubing around the foam core. Ugh! Then you pull one strand of the mesh tube out or, sometimes even worse, an entire stitch gets wonky. And then you spend several minutes trying to get it all back in place.
Imagine now you are weaving in your ends with a tapestry needle – doh! It’s low key a nightmare.
Then comes the “pull from center” issue. I found the center pull end so easily! Hooray! Only to later discover that it was twisted up with another end. And guess which one I was knitting with? Of course, the wrong one! So I very quickly had to cut the yarn and join the correct end, and the yarn barf was not fun.
Even though knitting with it was not my favorite, I still love this yarn. Why? Well because it creates a nice spongy scrubby. We had some people over right after I knit this and it was laying out. They loved it. I mean I’m pretty sure they wanted to take it home, but I had this blog post to write….

Pros & Cons
PROS
- Love the squishy scrubby
- Soft yarn easy to maneuver it
CONS
- Snagging, oh the snagging
- Not a lot of yarn per skein
Final thought on Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle Yarn
Even though knitting with this yarn was a pain in the tushy, I would still knit with it again. I just wouldn’t do the circular pattern because doing Kitchener’s Stitch was the WORST! But I love the scrubby, it’s so beautiful to look at and it has a great feel!

And there you have it! If you have any questions about this yarn or have a pattern to use with it? Let me know in the comments!
