Red Heart Scrubby Yarn Full Review
Red Heart Scrubby Yarn is available in 10 solids, 11 multis and 8 stripe colorways. It’s much softer than other scrubby yarn I’ve knit with so far. I feel like it might make a better scrubby for skin than dishes. Perhaps with enough elbow grease you can use it on dishes. And it would be good for glass since it won’t scratch it up!
This is random, but it really bothered me that the yarn is called “peachy” when the color is not what I would ever consider “peachy”. The shades of pink are much closer to a mauve than to peach. I bought it online and thought it may be a color discrepancy with the computer screen, but nope. It’s definitely not peachy.
Another random and annoying thing… Why is the stripes version different and sold under a different label than the solid/multis? Upon close inspection the yarns are made the same. They have a very similar texture and feel when knitting. However, the solids/multis are a tiny bit heavier. You can’t tell by any stretch of the imagination, but that’s how the skeins are sold and the data comes out.
I knit each of the three patterns with the striped variation of this yarn as it was an easy to use yarn. Plus I loved the color even though it wasn’t peachy. I was also interested to see how the stripes would work with each of the patterns.

Pros & Cons
PROS
- Easy to knit with
- Easy pull from center
- Good coverage
CONS
- Not a lot of yarn per skein.
- Confusing on why there is a discrepancy between the regular and stripes?

Final thought on Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle Yarn
Final thoughts, this is a fun yarn and I did enjoy knitting with it in both the stripes and solid. I do not understand why they are not exactly the same as far as weight and yardage. Thi is baffling to me. However, I can understand Red Heart wanting to have one labeled as “stripes” to indicate to the buyer that the yarn is dyed to stripe.

And there you have it! If you have any questions about this yarn or have a pattern to use with it? Let me know in the comments!
